HAUNTED MANSION
Originally a Disneyland theme park ride, then turned into an Eddie Murphy cinematic vehicle (2004), Haunted Mansion is hardly a scary experience like the Silent Hill games, for instance. This game is not directly related to the movie. The house and its haunted occupants (some good, most evil) are out to get you - you being the new assistant caretaker, Ezekiel (Zeke for short), who is unmarried and desperate for a job. Your help comes in the shape of the crystal ball-head Madame Liota, to defeat the ghosts and their master Aticus Thorn (out to trap the good spirits within the confines of the ghostly manor). You carry with you a lantern, an ancient artifact drawing the souls into its beacon. You have to undo Thorn's spells and need to find the 5 remaining soul gems in order to restore the beacon's power completely. With bravery tonic collected on your ghost bashing way, this is not exactly something a Resident Evil fan will get chills from - the younger crowd on the other hand will have a load of fun.
