HITMAN CONTRACTS
The dark, moody and cinematic hitman world opens up again as the killer number 47 and his twin Silverballer .45's come out for some punishment. You find yourself waking in a hospital (which is in fact a lab) - you're not as unique as you may have thought - bald, cloned assassins being bred to perform hits all over the place. From here you get into the intriguing story, which will leave many cold bodies in your wake. With the expected arsenal of weapons you also get to collect essential bits like lock picks, binoculars, silencers, night vision goggles, fibre wire (for silent strangulation) and syringe (for more stealth knock-outs). When it's not full blowout action, you need to sneak, look through keyholes, crouch, drag & drop bodies, change outfits to infiltrate and so on. The Normal / Expert / Pro modes is noticeably varied. Detailed maps keep you orientated - it also contains symbols for everything from lifts & stairs to doors, animals, enemies, police and pick up points. With blood that looks almost real enough to slip in and graphic killings, it's not for the youngsters. The excellent soundtrack is by Jesper Kyd.
