SOUL REAVER 2
The
Legacy Of Kain Series is an in depth saga with many story lines and possibilities, the Soul Reaver and Blood Omen legacies entwined. The supernatural world of evil and vampirism makes for an intriguing, exhilarating gaming experience. You play Raziel, the former vampire hunting Sarafan priest who was turned into a bloodsucker under Kain. In evolving, Raziel grew wings, an incident met with disdain by Kain who rips it to shreds and hurls Raziel into the abyss. Here he is resurrected as the elder gods' fledgling angel of death (the Soul Reaver blade with which Kain tried to kill him, shattered and attached itself to Raziel's arm as a wraith blade - one deadly weapon). Raziel follows Kain into the time machine and finds himself face to face with Moebius, the creator of the machine. They form an alliance. Raziel has to feed on the souls of those he destroys (like Kain has to feed on the blood of his victims in Blood Omen). The game is dark in all respects, its Gothic settings creating a great mood. You have to fight your way through man and monster to get to Kain - and they don't make it easy on you. The game features some great bonus material. A text history and historical timeline shows how the Soul Reaver and Blood Omen narratives overlap and link. You get to see Soul Reaver 1's opening movie, in case you haven't played it before the sequel. Concept and 3D art can be checked out and unlocked as well as promo art. There's a look at the voice talent behind the characters, biographies, clips and pictures.
