TIME CRISIS 3
A peaceful Mediterranean island is under siege. Agents Wesley and Alan (with female backup from Alicia) have to stop the nut in charge from sinking the island with an arsenal of tactical missiles. Obviously you'll have weed through an army and several bosses before you can nail the kingpin. Putting the G-Con light-gun to good use, this arcade favourite translates well to the home. Two-player co-operative play delivers some hectic shoot-out frenzies and will ensure getting through the enemies much quicker - but as one player it's more of a challenge. If you haven't played any of these before, you're bound by a countdown to wipe out specific areas (from beaches, burning buildings, sinking boats, on a speeding jeep, in warehouses) in order to advance - without getting nailed of course. You automatically duck for cover, popping out when pressing the A button on your gun, letting them have it - ducking back automatically reloads your weapon. The enemy consists of the basic green clad troops; the more accurate red ones; the automatic firing armoured orange guys; the blue suited bazooka, flamethrower & grenade lodgers; slashing ninja types (quick and cunning); and the most important, the guys with yellow on their fatigues - shoot them as many times as possible, as they credit you with extra ammo - one shot will give you a single item, so rapid fire them and see the extra ammo rack up. There are parachutes, submarine cannons, tanks and bosses that need a lot to get taken down. You select between your pistol, machine gun, shotgun and grenade launcher by toggling with your trigger when off-screen. Literally a blast, you need to decide what weapons to use, saving enough big stuff for the bosses and not getting shot, as limited credits will prevent you from finishing the game and unlocking extra bits. Great fun, but only with a light-gun.
