Clash Of The Titans

CLASH OF THE TITANS

With Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Flemyng, Gemma Arterton, Alexa Davalos, Izabella Miko, Danny Huston

Written by Travis Beacham, Phil Hay, Matt Manfredi (based on the original 1981 screenplay by Beverley Cross)

Directed by Louis Leterrier

From nowhere straight into a bunch of big budget movies (incl Avatar and Terminator 4), Sam Worthington is the current Aussie of choice when it comes to these flicks, including this mythological quest. With the ancient gods acting like children, a disaster in the shape of The Krakan rising from the ocean to sow destruction means disaster for the humans on earth. But, humanity's saviour is the unaware son of a god and human, Persius. A quest ensues with many magnificent and dangerous creatures, working with and against this unwilling hero.
Littered with digital special effects and ludicrous action sequences, this ancient fantasy movie will blow many viewers away (but bore others used to the overblown spectacle).

Old-school fans may feel this was unnecessary to remake, the stop animation charm of the original 1981 movie giving it so much more character. But unfortunately modern audiences demand more in this digital age.
