Exorcismus

EXORCISMUS

With Sophie Vavasseur, Stephen Billington, Richard Felix, Doug Bradley, Jo-Anne Stockham, Tommy Bastow

Written by David Muñoz
Directed by Manuel Carballo

This Spanish production is set in the UK. A young girl starts to experience inexplicable seizures and dark, disturbing visions. It also leads to her actions endangering those around her. Her parents believe it has a psychological basis, but when her uncle (a priest) starts to investigate, an evil basis comes to the fore as she is believed to be possessed.

Things are however not as straight forward – the parents are not religious and more surprises unfold as the peril escalates, leading to injuries and death.

A well made low budget movie that is quite effective and stands apart from the many possession movies of recent years.
