I frankenstein

I, FRANKENSTEIN

With Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Kevin Grevioux

Written by Stuart Beattie (based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux)
Directed by Stuart Beattie

Based on a graphic novel, this tale takes the Frankenstein legend more than just a step further.
Being created by the obsessed scientist Frankenstein, his resurrected creature has tracked him down to kill him for what he's subjected him to (including denying giving him a mate) - but the cold weather beat him to it. Centuries later, Frankenstein's monster still roams the earth, and gets sucked into the center of an age-old battle between angels and demons.

Dr. Frankenstein's book is being sought by a powerful figure wanting to use it for his own nefarious means, planning to dispatch all angels and resurrect slain demons. Frankenstein's creation is the key to all of it.

Fans of gargoyles may like their inclusion here.

With an energetic and visually textured style, this is hardly the brooding, moody angle of the classic 1930s Karloff flicks, but rather geared towards a new, younger audience, along the lines of resurrection movie Van Helsing.
Purists may not approve(!)
