THE COMPANY OF WOLVES

With Sarah Patterson, David Warner, Angela Lansbury, Tusse Silberg, Stephen Rea, Micha Bergese, Brian Glover, Graham Crowden, Georgia Slowe
Directed by Neil Jordan

Brilliant adaptation of the Little Red Riding Hood tale fused with the werewolf myth. Amazing imagery translate an intriguing story of coming of age, sexuality and the animal within. A young girl is drawn into a folklore past when she falls asleep. Here her grandmother tells her the cautionary tales of men she should avoid - men with eyebrows that meet and are “hairy on the inside”. An absolute must-see, still great since its 1984 release (when it received four BAFTA nominations).
