2010 HORRORFEST WRAP-UP
As with each of the annual HorrorFest events since 2005, every year gets better and better.
Some of this year's many highlights included the sold out live soundtrack performance to the
classic 1925 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA by THE
MAKABRA ENSEMBLE, and the first 3D movie
at the HorrorFest and Labia Theatre in the shape of ORLOK THE VAMPIRE (also sold out).
KAALO, the first ever day-time-creature-horror from India made its world premiere with its producer
Yash Patnaik flying in for the occasion.
A live music after party with an animal charity cause attached closed proceedings and a whole lot more.
A huge thank-you to all attending viewers, movie-makers, sponsors, press and staff.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA Live Movie Soundtrack Performance Sunday 31 October - Halloween Night 8:30pm This legendary 1925 version of Gaston Leroux's tale of a facially deformed man living in the catacombs of a Paris opera house obsessed with one of the singers, is a true cinematic landmark. With so many takes on the tale, this is the definitive one, featuring Lon Chaney Sr. in the title role. As with each year's Halloween highlight, THE MAKABRA ENSEMBLE will again perform a new original soundtrack to this silent classic with a range of electronic and acoustic instruments, right there below the big screen. The movie was the infernal Italian epic, MACISTE IN HELL which was performed at the 2009 HORRORFEST.
